Child Safety Standards
Live Rishta is a matrimonial service for adults only. We have zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE), including child sexual abuse material (CSAM), grooming, sextortion and trafficking of minors. This page sets out our standards, how to report a concern, and what we do when we find a violation.
Adults only
You must be at least 18 to use Live Rishta. Date of birth is a required registration field and is validated on our servers: anyone entering a date of birth under 18 is blocked from creating an account. Misrepresenting your age is a breach of our Acceptable Use Policy.
What is prohibited
Any account, profile, photo, message or other content that sexualises, exploits or endangers a minor is prohibited, as is any attempt to groom, solicit, coerce, blackmail or traffic a minor. Sharing or soliciting non-consensual intimate imagery and sextortion are also prohibited. See the Acceptable Use Policy in our Terms for the full list.
How we prevent it
Every profile and every uploaded photo is reviewed by our moderation team before it becomes visible to other members or appears in search. Photos are also screened by automated moderation before that review, and direct messages are scanned automatically for off-platform contact requests, payment solicitation and romance-scam patterns. Members who repeatedly trigger safety flags can have messaging suspended.
How to report a concern
Every profile page and every chat conversation, on the website and in the mobile app, has a Report and Block control. Blocking is instant. You can also email us at [email protected]. If a child is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services first.
How we respond
We acknowledge reports within 24 hours. Reports involving sexual violence, non-consensual intimate imagery or a profile created about someone without their consent are treated as urgent: the profile is hidden immediately on a single report while our team reviews it. Where we obtain actual knowledge of CSAM, we remove the content and the account immediately. Other accounts found in violation are removed, and an active paid membership on a removed account is ended.
Reporting to authorities
Where we identify apparent CSAM or evidence of the exploitation of a minor, we report it to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) CyberTipline and to law enforcement as required by law, and we preserve the associated data as required under 18 U.S.C. § 2258A. See our Law Enforcement Guidelines for how we handle legal requests.
